Losing Weight: First the answer is yes. One can lose weight with out working out. But, the weight loss will be slower and probably less effective in keeping the weight from coming back on. Why would a young otherwise healthy male not realize that to change your life you must change your life and that means adding some routine and regular exercise to build up your muscles, keep your metabolism high and healthy.
