Spotting: This is just a small amount of bleeding that is starting a bit early. Blood oxides and turns brown (basically, the iron in the blood is rusting). When you bleed very little, the blood hangs out in your uterus and vagina longer and has time to turn brown, turning your discharge brownish. It's nothing to worry about.
