why shouldn't treatment with bisphosphonates exceed 6 months at a stretch for paget's disease?

paget's disease is: A chronic , ongoing illness of bone formation and destruction . To combat the erosion of bone , bisphosphonate should be taken on continuous basis . The illness is not curable but treatable to some extent
