See below: If you are having chest pain without physical exertion, see you doc soon. Heart arrhythmias must be ruled out with ekg/event monitors as well as other issues. Other possibilities could include anxiety issues - panic attacks.

Merits evaluation.: "pounding heart" may represent a change in ones heart rhythm and/or rate. Intermittent nonexertional "sharp chest pain", often termed atypical chest pain, can be seen in normal healthy people, sometimes associated with benign heart valve variants termed "mitral valve prolapse", sometimes without any observable structural heart variant. If such symptoms recur, see your doctor to evaluate them.

Cardiac: I recommend that you seek medical attention immediately. No chest pain or symptoms should be viewed lightly even in a young person in your age group. More so i see that you are on two anti-hypertensive regimens, that also adds to my concern. It seems to me that diagnostic work up was began. But if this is not the case please seek medical attention immediately.

Yes, but not easy: Given the above factors and age (sorry, age 35 isn't 25), chances are not as good as if those factors did not exist. Use birth control to prevent unwanted pregnancy; see ob/gyn, perhaps fertility specialist if trying to get pregnant.

Severe lower back pa: Not likely that the symptoms have anything to do with your appendectomy. Chest pain along with severe pain in the back should be looked at by your physician. This could be something serious so see your dr.

Seek help: It is possible to have mono with a normal mono test. The bruising and bleeding gums are really worrisome. I would ask to see a hematologist for further testing.

Thyroid, beri beri: Beri-beri is due to a vitamin deficiency and can cause heart palpitations weight loss, congestive heart failure and respiratory distress. Hyperthyroidism could also cause a lot of these symptoms. You should see a doctor where they could check your blood thyroid levels.
