asthma and allergies: Are related and are triggered by allergens, both indoors and outdoors, it is likely your child has dust mite or pet allergy. If you have carpet in her bedroom rip it out. See an allergist and get her tested and discuss long term treatment options for her.

Allergy testing: She may have dust mite allergy that is triggering her asthma. See an allergist to get allergy testing, use zippable dust mite covers on her bed and pillow, wash sheets in hot water. If it is positional, raising the child's head with an extra pillow may help.
