Tonsil stones: Hello, tonsil stones are not in themselves dangerous. Manipulating your tonsils to remove stones can be done multiple ways. I recommend gargling with water after meals. If a stone persists, patients will attempt removal with a moistened q-tip. Any means of removal can lead to bleeding. The more aggressive, the higher risk for bleeding. Also an infection can occur below the stones.
