how old is the oldest woman to have a baby?

Age at pregnancy: If i'm not mistaken, one italian woman was 65 yearsold when she bore a baby for her childless daughter. That was not a natural pregnancy. She was helped by modern medical technology as in in-vitro fertilization to effect that miracle.

Natural or assisted?: I believe unassisted pregnancy into the fifth decade has been reported. It is rare now since risks of a genetic defect are so high. Assisted pregnancy (internationally) with mom having special care & donor embryo has been reported as late as ~60 if memory serves me right. Sadly, i believe that mom died a few years later. There are amazing things we can do, but whether we should do them is ?

Possibly: That kind of obesity is terrible. Please make sure that you do not have a tumor affecting the hypothalamus. Your overall health is grossly impaired and pregancy is unlikely but could happen. We now know that brain metabolism has a lot to do with obesity.

Should a woman with MS have a baby or not take the chance?

Dr. Anthony LaBarbera answered

See below: This should be a persona decision. If you want to have babies, there should be no reason you can't. I have female relatives with MS who have had children, and parents in my practice with ms.
