can your fallopian tube heal if they was burned?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Gerard Honore
28 years experience Fertility Medicine
Can't heal: After coagulation (burning) the tubal segment is denatured - and its dead, so it can't truly heal. Sometimes tubal ligations done this way do fail because the 'burned' part develop a fistula (a hole) that leaves the tube open. This is not healing though, the tube is still abnormal.
