A 25-year-old female asked:

pregrant nd bleeding brown at 7 weeks why?

Multiple reasons...: To be clear, it is possible that this bleeding could represent a miscarriage, and you probably want to bring it to the attention of your doctor or midwife. He/she might suggest an ultrasound or a blood test called an HCG level. That said, it is not uncommon in the first trimester to see a small amount of blood and have everything be okay too. So. No reason to panic. But you should get it checked.

Has anybody ever used spermicides before and gotten preggers?

Yes, very often: Spermicidal foams, gels, and films when used alone without a condom have a significantly high pregnancy rate. In other words, if 100 women were using a spermicide alone as their only means of contraception, approximately 20 would be pregnant in one year.

Pregnant?: The first thing you need to do is to take a pregnancy test. Your symptoms are not normal regardless of whether you are pregnant or not. See your gynecologist soon.

Have it checked: Gum bleeding could be caused by gum disease like gingivitis, taking blood thinners, a blood disorder with low clotting factors, hemophilia, and many others. Have your physician check it and see if you need to be tested.
