Concern for abscess: Red bumps involving the gums--with or without discolored teeth--are of significant concern for probable dental abscesses. Without any further hesitation you should schedule a visit with your dentist urgently. If you do not have a dentist, then contact your primary care physician for assistance.

Possible root canal : If the teeth are fractured and one is turning a darker color with a swelling above the tooth then chances are the nerve has died and an abscess is forming. Depending on the extent of the fracture the tooth might be able to be saved with root canal therapy or it may have to be extracted.

U Have 2 Problems: You have 2 separate problems. The broken edges can be easily repaired by a dentist, either with composite (plastic) or porcelain. The discoloration and swelling on the gums are most likely signs of infection within the tooth root. That was probably caused by trauma and needs to be addressed separately. In either case, there's nothing you can do yourself. See your dentist soon.

The gums above my two front teeth are swollen and I need them to go back to normal within 72 hours what do I do?

Brush, rinse, floss: Brush and keep them clean, floss them gently and try rinsing with warm salt water in that area specifically. Rinse for a minute or so or as long as you can. This should help it go away. If the swelling is not going away you need to see your dentist to have it checked out. Good luck.

Essential tremor: This maybe part of an essential aka familial aka intention tremor. These are not serious but tend to run in families. They usually are seen most in hands when trying to lift things, are made worse by caffeine, stimulants and anxiety. If concerned consult a neurologist.

It depends: On the cause. Most of the time, this is due to plaque and calculus and is treated by a professional cleaning and good oral hygiene. However, some serious systemic diseases can cause swollen gums, so it is best to visit a dentist for an evaluation.

What is the best method to find basal body temperature?

1 doctor answer1 doctor weighed in
Dr. Neeoo Chin

Not accurate: As you first wake up place a basal body thermometer underneath your tongue for approximately 3 minutes. A digital thermometer is easier and more convenient. Unfortunately basal body temperature taking is very confusing. Any type of movement or any type of activity prior to awakening in taking the temperature will falsely elevated the temperature. Also when the temperature has risen approximately .6 to 1° ovulation has already occurred.

What the best thing to use on infant heat bumps?

Leave them alone: The best thing to do is to leave them alone. Try to get rid of the offending agent, heat, over bundling; consider an office visit if baby's skin does not improve. It may be eczema or another common childhood rash.
