Good history: Cough which has been present for two months needs a thorough evaluation starting with a good history taken by someone with experience in treating cough. Unless the answer is obvious a chest xray is probably warranted. The cough could be infectious, a form of asthma or related to reflux. I'm not sure that the significance of the chest pain is without further information.
