Pregnancy test: A HCG level of 36, 000 miu/ml is usually seen at about 6 weeks 6 days in a singleton, intrauterine pregnancy. At 5 weeks there are a couple of potential causes of this level: 1. Normal singleton intrauterine pregnancy 2. Normal multiple gestation like twins or triplets. Or 3. Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia. A normal pregnancy or multple pregnancy is the most likely.
