I am just curious, is it normal to feel (with your fingertips) the artery above a temple? I can feel the one above my right temple, but not the left.

Yes: Temporal artery can be felt on most of the persons , that is normal , if you feel carefully possible to feel on the other side. Some one who has hypertension ( B P ) even easier to feel. Go to your doctor check your BP .
