I think you need to: Give us more information. What time of your menstrual cycle are you seeing it? What is the color, the consistency, the odor? Do you have vaginal swelling, redness, itching or pain? I you can clarify and re-ask we can try to provide a response.

Pregnancy: You should take a pregnancy test. If you are 4 months pregnant, you have missed a lot of OB care and testing. Some light spotting is normal, heavier bright red bleeding and cramping can indicate a miscarriage. Brown discharge is actually normal during pregnancy.
