A 40-year-old member asked:
is there any evidence that birth ball induces labor?

Not heard of: I have not heard of the birth(ing) ball actually inducing labor. I know that it is being used during pregnancy to relieve pregnancy associated musculo-sceletal problems and in labor to accommodate labor pain. I cannot imagine a mechanism by which the birth ball would induce labor.
