Yes: There are two basic types: urine and blood tests. Both measure a hormone called human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hcg). The blood test is the more accurate of the two.

Yes: Most currently available pregnancy tests are about the some. Dsome of them are for testing urine and some are for testing blood.
