Yes: We frequently prescribe eye drops for use in the ear if the ear drop is not available. Don't try using an ear drop in the eye though.

Not formulated : Eye drops are formulated for eye surface ; labeled as such. Otic (ear) drops same thing. I would not use except as prescribed.

Yes: Eye drops can be safely used in the ears but not the other way around. Ear drops are not good for the eyes.
