Need Evaluation: You need an examination as there are many possible etiologies of ulcerstions . The longer the ulcer is open the more prone you become to possible bone infections. Some ulcers that will not heal could also be cancerous in origin. I strongly reccomd seeing a physician.

Likely Not: To just reduce your foot size a surgery to shrink your foot would be ill advised. Now if you have a bunion deformity or tailors bunion that is making your forefoot too wide that could be corrected with surgery but only if you have pain or inability to wear shoes due to the deformity.

A Few: Treatment options for a foot drop typically include bracing with an AFO or surgery which can include tendon transfers/lengthening vs ankle fusion. Depends if the deformity is what we call reducible or rigid as well. See an Orthopod or surgical Podiatrist for more detailed treatment outline.
