Allison Swan qualified in 1999 with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle. In 2007, she gained a MSc in Spinal Manipulation and Sports Rehabilitation from the University of Western Australia, Perth.
During her career she has gained extensive experience both in large university teaching hospitals and professional sport.
After qualifying, she worked as a Junior Physiotherapist for two years at Manchester Royal Infirmary - Central Manchester University Hospital specialising in Orthopaedics, Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Surgery, Acute Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Spinal Injuries, Vascular Surgery, Women's Health and Paediatrics.
In 2001, Allison worked as a Senior Physiotherapist for 2 years The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital Trust in the Out patient Department working in each speciality including The Spinal Team, Lower Limb Team and Upper Limb Team.
From 2004 to 2006 Allison worked as a Locum Senior Physiotherapist at University Hospital North Durham for the GP services.
In 2006, she then started her MSc Spinal Manipulation and Sports Rehabilitation at the University of Western Australia, Perth which she completed and 2007 and worked at the Royal Perth Hospital, Australia.
In 2008, Allison worked in London for Nuffield Health and Balance Performance Physiotherapy before setting up her own clinic in Belgravia, London in 2011 and in the City in 2014.
Since qualifying in 1999, Allison has worked in professional sport at Premier Level and National Level both in Rugby and Hockey.
She has treated many elite athletes in various sports including the London 2012 Olympics. She regularly treats runners training for marathons and triathletes.
Allison's speciality is in treating neck and back pain, joint injuries and all kind of sporting injuries. She uses her knowledge and experience to diagnose and recognise the patient's individual needs to make a full recovery and achieve their goals.
