Dr. Pool has been practicing Emergency Medicine for over 20 years.
He is a fellow of both the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.
He lived, trained and worked in New York City for over 16 years. He was working in the Emergency Department just 14 blocks from the World Trade Center on the morning of 9/11.
He has served on the Board of Trustees of the American Medical Association.
He is an internet entrepreneur, programmer and interested in medical and health informatics.
He moved to New Zealand almost 3 years ago where he now works in the Wellington Emergency Department and lives in Newtown with his husband and their 2 Alaskan Malamutes.
