Dr. Jekwon Yeh is a native of Orange County, CA. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) with honors in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. He then earned his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) from Boston University (BU) School of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident in Radiation Oncology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, where he took care of thousands of patients with cancer.
Dr. Yeh has specific expertise in the treatment of prostate, genitourinary, head and neck, breast, gastrointestinal, gynecological, central nervous system (CNS), sarcoma, skin, lymphoma, and lung cancers. He has extensive experience in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), 3D-conformal radiotherapy, and brachytherapy. He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), and the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS).
Dr. Yeh has been the primary investigator of several clinical research projects in prostate, gastrointestinal and brain/central nervous system (CNS) malignancies. He has published scientific articles in peer reviewed journals including the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics (IJROBP). He has presented many of his research projects at international scientific conferences including ASTRO. He has also been awarded numerous basic science and clinical research grants. He is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
