Dr. Kourosh Parsapour is co-founder & CEO of personalRN, a digital health startup providing disease-specific inpatient education that is personalized to the needs of patients and their caregivers. He has over 17 years of clinical experience in pediatrics, pediatric emergency medicine and pediatric critical care. He was the first medical director of the Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team at Miller Children's Hospital, California's largest full-service children's hospital dedicated to care of children and women. Dr. Parsapour’s background in technology-enabled healthcare solutions started with his first faculty appointment at UC Davis in 2005. Since then, he has worked with clinicians, administrators and health policy makers to support the use and advancement of telehealth. His research and numerous publications in telemedicine culminated in his first startup, Telepeds. Specialists on Call, the leading provider of tele-stroke services, acquired Telepeds within its first year. Subsequent to his successful exit, he obtained his Healthcare Executive MBA from UC Irvine and remains very passionate about using innovative and relevant technology to improve the quality and accessibility to affordable healthcare. Dr. Parsapour has held faculty positions at UC Davis and UC Irvine.
