I am originally from the Smokey Mountains of East Tennessee. Our most noted hometown celebrity is Dolly Parton. I graduated from her alma mater, Sevier County High School; and obtained my undergraduate degree in Biology at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
In 2000, I graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, now Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, and obtained my Podiatric Surgical residency training with University Hospitals Cleveland. I then started my career as an attending at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, and Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio.
In 2004, I moved to the Roanoke Valley, and became Chief of Podiatry at Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
