Specialties
Doctors may have more than one area of specialty interest. Board certification in a specialty area means the doctor has completed formal training and has practice experience in that specialty, and has passed the certification examination from the corresponding accredited medical specialty board.

Pregnancy&diabetes: Diabetes can be risky during pregnancy if not well controlled. Ideal blood sugars are between 90 to 120 during pregnancy at any time of day. If one is on insulin, the doses may increase during pregnancy. If not on insulin, sometimes women will then need insulin for the duration fo the pregnancy. It is important to keep the blood sugars monitored closely.
