Rahul Khare, MD, MS is residency trained and board certified in Emergency Medicine and has done a fellowship in clinical research, specifically studying heart attacks and strokes. After completing medical school, he did his emergency medicine residency at the University of Michigan, and was chief resident there. He has been practicing Emergency Medicine for 10 years and is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University. Dr. Khare has over 50 scientific articles, book chapters, and has published a handbook of Emergency Medicine. He has extensive grants from the Department of Health and Human Services. He has traveled as a medical volunteer to natural disaster sites as a first responder, including Haiti’s earthquake in 2010 and the Philippines typhoon in 2013.
