I have over 20 years of psychiatry experience working in a wide variety of clinical settings. I have worked in public health psychiatry in Christchurch, New Zealand, and I have been on faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 19 years. I serve as the Medical Director for Group Health Cooperative HMO in Madison, WI. Since1994 I have been practicing outpatient and inpatient private practice psychiatry as well.
I have extensive experience with the use of psychiatric medications to treat depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and adult ADHD. I also have expertise in sports psychology, and since 1995, I have treated many collegiate student athletes at the University of Wisconsin as well as individual athletes and teams.
I am also a competitive masters triathlete.
