Bio
Dr Autio was born in Finland. She moved to the USA to start her undergraduate school in Chemistry in 1993. In 2001, she graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. She then completed internship in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic, followed by residency training in family medicine at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL. After her residency, she travelled and worked in rural New Zealand, and studied skin cancer medicine in Australia.
Dr Autio comes from a modest background. Her parents were farmers in rural Finland. These values still a thriving force for her. She believes medical care is the utmost basic need for everybody without exaggerated costs. She believes in prevention and leading a healthy lifestyle to prevent the development of chronic illness.
