Maybe: implantation takes place usually 7-10 days after ovulation. mild cramping may be a sign of this. once implantation occurs, the level of HCG begins to rise and then the pregnancy test will be positive. conception usually happens in the fallopian tube when the sperm and egg unite usually 36-48 hours after ovulation.

Depends: the cervix usually effaces (thins out) earlier in second pregnancies and loss of the 'plug' can occur earlier and over weeks and so be less obvious. it is not an important sign. breaking the water or bleeding or cramping or a combination of these things are the more important signs to watch for and report.
