Bio
Dr. Lozano was born and raised in Colombia, South America. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Caldas, School of Medicine. He received an honorary faculty appointment at New York Medical College for his teaching skills and continued as Chief Medical resident at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City upon completion of his residency training. Dr. Lozano areas of interest include preventive care, peripheral vascular disease (especially varicose veins), resistant hypertension and cardiac imaging. Currently Dr. Lozano is the Medical Director of the Vascular Ultrasound laboratory at FL Heart Group and a Faculty member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at FL Hospital. He produces and presents “Dr. Corazon” (Doctor Heart) in a local Hispanic TV show.

Yes: Yes, you may wean yourself off verapamil that way. Since you have not taken it for a long time the possibility of rebound/withdrawal symptoms is low.
