I trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. I have been an active Infectious Disease consultant since 1980, and have a special interest in HIV care and Emerging Infections. I received a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and developed a course on Emerging Infections at St. Louis University School of Public Health and Social Justice. I have been active in medical leadership positions and am a member of the AMA, as well as the Infectious Disease Society of America.
