Dr Atif J Khan joined the faculty practice of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in 2007 after completing residency at Rush University Medical Center and fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Dana Farber. He treats patients requiring radiotherapy for breast cancer, CNS/brain malignancies, and pediatric tumors. He is also the Medical Director for Proton Therapy and Brachytherapy services at the institution and is Co-Director of the Gamma Knife Ctr, and as such has significant expertise in these highly conformal technologies. Dr Khan is active in clinical and translational research, and has several papers and book chapters in authoritative sources. He serves as an item writer and oral examiner for the American Board of Radiology.
