A 19-year-old female asked:

Behavioral methods: If you wish to not take pills, 3 behavioral methods may be of use. One, diaphragmatic breathing while lying on your back for 4 consecutive minutes first thing in the morning. Second, listen to favorite soothing music while taking a hot bath, once a day. Third, when you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts about yourself, snap a loose rubber band on wrist, say "STOP," and think positve one.
A 28-year-old male asked:

Stretching: Try stretching by actually pulling gently on your head to the sides, forward, and back. Hold for 30 seconds in each position. This can stop the muscles from going into spasm. Repeat 3 or 4 times a day.
A 23-year-old female asked:

Stress reduction: 1 way to reduce stress is 5 minutes of diaphragmatic breathing each day. Make sure your belly is pooching in and out (hands on belly to feel the movement). Make sure you have little or no movement of shoulders or chest. Just belly. 5 minutes must be consecutive minutes, not two sessions of 2.5 minutes each. No guarantee about cysts, but it will help calm you down.
