It could be anxiety: I am a licensed psychologist. Anxiety can cause physical, somatic symptoms such as muscle tension, and tingly sensations. But, what you described also could be due to a medical condition. First see your MD, and have any organic/medical condition get ruled out. And, if there is nothing medical, then yes, it could be anxiety.
