Bio
Gary A. Pomeranz, M.D. graduated from the University of Colorado in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned his Medical Doctorate at the University of Colorado Medical Center in 1974. He completed a medical-surgical internship in New York through a Columbia University affiliated hospital. Following this internship he served two years as a Family Physician in the Public Health Service providing comprehensive medical-surgical care to a small rural community in Washington State. Dr. Pomeranz then entered a three-year residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Washington in Seattle, training in diseases and surgery of the eyes. He and his family moved to Reno in 1980, where he established his surgical practice. Dr. Pomeranz is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has built a reputation for the highest caliber of professional skills and personalized care.
