In a word...yes: Cognitive behavior therapy (cbt) is useful in treating a variety of problems including difficulties with mood (depression, anger), anxiety (generalized, ocd, phobias), and behavior. CogntiveBehavior Tx: Cognitive-behavior therapy is often helpful for individuals who experience significant distress from anxiety. Cognitive therapy assists the individual with learning new thoughts/perceptions that are evidence-based. Am i being truthful with myself? Is this a big deal? Behavior therapy provides exposure to the feared entity generalized (across situations) or specific (heights) to reduce anxiety.
