Retained suture: This may be a retained suture, now causing a delayed "foreign body" reaction. The site should be examined to make sure there are no signs of infection as well.

Combination approach: There are a number of options: chemical peels, fractionated laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, scar subcision along with topical retinoids, topical vitamin c, and Alpha hydroxy acids. A combination approach i find is best for superior results. While treatment may not 100% eliminate, many patients are extremely satisfied.

Combo therapy helps: Yes, you can use the rogaine (topical minoxidil) together with the propecia (finasteride). You can start with the 5% formulation.
