I was born in 1957 at a US Army Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany to Captain Douglas Holden and his wife Patricia. I spent my formative years in Southern California and in Michigan. While pursuing my undergraduate degree in Sociology/Pre-med, I took a two year hiatus to answer a mission call for my church. I served in French-speaking countries and from this I developed a fluency in the language as well as an appreciation of other cultures. Just after graduation, I married Dominique. She has blessed my life with four wonderful children and 32 years of bliss. I received my MD from Texas A&M. My Ob/Gyn residency was at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelpia. My fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility was under the legendary pioneer, Dr. Samuel S.C. Yen at the UC San Diego.
