About

Bio

I attended the University of Washington Undergrad, graduated Summa Cum Laude and went on to attend the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. It's a great school and one of the most exciting times of my life to be involved in learning about all that makes a body function and the disease it can sustain. I spent time in the US Army and was stationed at Tripler Army Hospital in Hawaii for 3 years. I loved serving my country in this way and still feel very patriotic about the blessing of being an American. I started my own Family Practice right after residency in a small town in Eastern Washington. I have had the privilege to go on 20 different medical mission trips to foreign countries through my career. It was a great feeling to help the extremely needy patients in several Caribbean and Central American countries during those times on the mission field. After I had spent 25 years in private practice doing everything from surgeries to deliveries to hospital medicine, I decided to move and go to work for a community health center in a larger community in Eastern Washington. I was the medical director there for 10 years, doing both administrative work and continuing to keep a busy practice in primary care medicine. I stepped down from that position 2 years ago and am working full time in an Urgent care at this time. I was the President of the Spokane Medical Society last year and loved advocating for patients in Olympia and Washington DC. My passion has always been helping patients get what they need. So how can I help you today?

Doctors may have more than one area of specialty interest. Board certification in a specialty area means the doctor has completed formal training and has practice experience in that specialty, and has passed the certification examination from the corresponding accredited medical specialty board.
