A 36-year-old member asked:
Allergic reaction: Dark circles under only one eye could be due to an allergic reaction affecting the tissue below one eye more than the other. It could be caused by eye makeup or over-the-counter eye drops, rubbing around the eye can make it worse on the rubbed side. Sleep deprivation will sometimes result in dark circles that can be more noticeable on one side. Excess alcohol intake has been said to cause it too.
A 51-year-old female asked:
A sinus problem: The most likely causes of pain above the right eye and blood clots in the nose are sinus and/or nose problems. It could be an inflammation and/or infection (sinusitis), or benign (harmless) growths called polyps. The bleeding could also be coming from rupture of a blood vessel in the lining (mucosa) of the nasal passage.
A 30-year-old member asked:
It happens sometimes: After laparoscopy, a blood clot (hematoma) can develop under the skin in the area where the instrument was inserted. If the blood clot is small and not very uncomfortable, it usually goes away within a few weeks without causing any real trouble. Larger clots can take longer to go away. A clot can cause more pain and require surgical treatment if it becomes infected (red, swollen, or pus draining).
