I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a surgeon, and once I entered medical school, I realized I wanted to be a plastic surgeon. Plastic surgery is very dynamic. There are new procedures and treatments developed every year. I am a lifelong student and truly enjoy staying current on newly developed treatments and procedures. I also thoroughly enjoy operating on different areas of the body, so I specialized in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. Now I pride myself in being able to offer a wide variety of procedures to my patients. From the day I opened my practice, I have always said, ‘If I can’t create a natural-appearing result, I am not going to perform the procedure.’ I feel strongly that most patients want to look as good as they can at any given age, but none want to look unnatural. With the techniques I use, there is no reason anyone but you ever has to know you have chosen to improve your appearance.I have been in practice for 16 years, and I am board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Surprisingly, there are no regulations that prevent any doctor from calling herself a plastic surgeon and performing cosmetic surgeries. For your safety, always make sure your doctor completed a plastic surgery residency training program and is board certified.
