Dr. Kara Starnes is from Richardson, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She then received her medical degree from University of North Texas Health Science Center – TCOM in Ft. Worth, Texas. After completion of medical school, she relocated to Little Rock to continue her medical training at the highly rated Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where she completed her pediatric internship and residency.
Dr. Starnes is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and is board certified in Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Pediatric Society.
Dr. Starnes and her husband Todd were married in 2001, and they have two sons. As the mother of two boys, Dr. Starnes understands the day to day challenges that being a parent brings and she is committed to providing meaningful and helpful guidance to parents.
With a continuous pursuit of the latest medical advances, a kind and cheerful personality, and a perception that every stage of childhood is special and unique, Dr. Starnes is genuinely dedicated to providing medical care for children ranging from newborns to eighteen years.
