Dr. Jason R. Miller completed a 4 year residency at Temple University Hospital in 2001 where he specialized in all aspects of adult and pediatric reconstructive and traumatic foot and ankle surgery. He served as Chief Resident in the program and was recognized for assisting in pioneering the foot and ankle program at the 700+ bed Level 1 trauma center in Philadelphia, PA.
He then began his career in 2001 teaching in the Dept. of Surgery at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine where he served as Residency Director of the Temple University Health Systems/Northeastern Hospital podiatric residency program and Chief of the Section. Dr. Miller continues to hold the rank of Associate Professor as an adjunct faculty member in the Dept. of Surgery at TUSPM. In 2008, Dr. Miller was awarded by the PPMA with their first ever “Rising Star” award. He has been named “Best of Philly” in Foot & Ankle Care two times by Philadelphia Magazine and recently was named a Top Doc by Mainline Today in Foot & Ankle Orthopedics. Dr. Miller has been asked to appear several times on local news affiliates from NBC and ABC to answer questions regarding cutting edge foot and ankle topics. In 2011, Dr. Miller began one of the nation’s first 2 year fellowships recognized by ACFAS in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction and trauma and is presently forming a PM&S 36 residency program. At his time, Dr. Miller performs a large portion of the foot and ankle trauma for Chester County’s only trauma center at Paoli Hospital.
Dr. Miller has written articles in several peer reviewed journals, written and edited chapters in board review books and lectured both nationally and internationally on a variety of topics related to foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Miller currently serves on the editorial board of The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and The Foot and Ankle Journal Online and serves as a consultant to several orthopaedic companies. Dr. Miller is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery where he is board certified in Reconstructive Rearfoot /Ankle Surgery and Foot Surgery. He is a Founding Fellow of The American Professional Wound Care Association and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
