Lauderdale, FL and the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist with Special Qualifications in Critical
Care Medicine. He completed residency training in Anesthesiology with Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship at the Albert
Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, New York, and a 2-year
Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical
Center (UPMC), Pittsburgh, PA. From 1987-2004 he was Attending Anesthesiologist
in the Division of Hepatic Transplant Anesthesia at UPMC (1987-2004). He is

Dr. Pretto has an extensive research portfolio in the area of transplantation and cell, tissue and organ preservation.
