A 24-year-old female asked:

No: If it took that long, and you are young, you should see a fertility specialist. Fertility will not usually be higher after having a baby. If you are under 35 and taking over 6 months, see a specialist.

Yes: Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) stays in your system for longer than just three months, but if you are on a pill, you may not see the period during the placebo pills for a few months, but it should return within a few months.

Maybe both: Mucus production increases around ovulation due to the increase in estrogen that your body is making. This peaks just before ovulation, but how much mucus is produced can vary from woman to woman

Probably not: By 19 days after an IUI, if properly timed, a pregnancy test should show up positive. Your period may not have came for several reasons. You should follow up with your fertility specialist.

Generally 1-2 weeks: After removing fibroids, having intercouse will not cause any problems, but often it is normal for it to be painful for at least 1-2 weeks. I tell my patients to wait at least a week, but if it is painful, to back off until the pain goes away.

No effect: Being on birth control will not affect your future chances of fertility. In many cases, it can actually have positive benefits for conceiving, but i would have no worry no matter how long you have been on it.

About 11-14: Your doctor should have you scheduled for a pregnancy test. Generally we test about 14-16 days after egg retrieval, which may be 11-15 days after transfer depending on what day the transfer occurs.

Can get very large!: Fibroids can vary as to how many form and how big they can grow. These factors are dependent mostly on genetic factors. I have seen them form as large as a basketball in women in their 20s, or only be an inch or so by their 40s. Depending on the size and location, they may not cause any symptoms, or can cause heavier bleeding, pelvic pain, feelings of pressure, or limited bladder capacity.

No: No, frequency of masturbation will have no impact on future fertility.
