Prostaglandins: NSAIDS interfere with the production of prostaglandins. This family of chemical mediators is critical in the inflammatory process and the benefit of this drug class is to mitigate this process thereby limiting inflammation. The same prostaglandins are necessary elements in the healing of bone process. A week of taking NSAIDS will not likely curtail regular bone healing; 2 months might.

Not normal: Go get this checked. Relationship to Thyroidectomy is likely false. Most common cause of lump on coller bone is old healed fracture.
