Dr Rachael Wyman was raised in Mount Vernon, Washington. She received
a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carroll College in Helena, Montana and
her M.D. from the University of Washington Medical School. During high
school, college, and medical school, Dr Wyman worked on her families'
boat as a commercial fisherman (perhaps that explains a bias towards
fish oils). Her medical residency, Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship,
and Preventive Cardiology Fellowship were completed at the University of
Wisconsin. As a preventive cardiologist, Dr Wyman has special skills
in the management of lipid disorders, hypertension, and
the identification and treatment of individuals at risk for heart
disease. Dr Wyman is board certified in internal medicine,
cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. She
also has expertise in CT angiography, coronary calcium scoring, and the
imaging of carotid intima-media thickening. Dr Wyman joined Eastside
Cardiology in August of 2007 and is the medical director of non-invasive
cardiology at Evergreen Hospital.
