Dr. Leonhardt earned her M.D. from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2000. She completed her Dermatology residency training with Rutgers University at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey. Following board certification and training in Dermatology, Dr. Leonhardt continued training to further sub-specialize in Procedural and Cosmetic Dermatology as well as Mohs Micrographic Surgery. In a fellowship dually accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education as well as the American College of Mohs Surgery. She completed her training, developing expertise in all Dermatologic Cosmetic procedures such as Fat Transfer and Fillers, Liposuction, Laser Surgery, Sclerotherapy, Botox, and Chemical Peels. Following completion of her fellowship, Dr. Leonhardt held a faculty position in the School of Medicine as Assistant Professor of Medicine, training Dermatology residents and Mohs Surgery fellows at Cooper University Hospital. Dr. Leonhardt has published articles and textbook chapters on skin cancer reconstruction, cosmetic procedures and other dermatologic conditions. She joined Virginia Mason Medical Center in 2010.
When not at work, Dr. Leonhardt enjoys motherhood and family, world travel and international cuisine and is a clasically trained vocalist - now singing to her children as a hobby.
