I grew up in a small town in upstate New York (Coxsackie). I attended both college and medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. I then completed an internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of Cincinnati, followed by a one-year spinal surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. I have been practicing as a neurosurgeon in Lancaster, Pennsylvania since 2001. My wife, Stephanie, is a "retired" pediatrician, and we have 6 children.
