Dr. Arun Chowla is a board certified surgeon, and one of the most experienced vein surgeons in Northern Virginia. After completing Medical School and surgery residency at University of Delhi in India, he pursued further training in surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in NY. Subsequently he completed a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.. He received additional training in Endovascular techniques including Minimally Invasive therapies for Varicose Veins at the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr Chowla is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons and Certified by American Board of Phlebology (American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine) as well as a member of American College of Phlebology. He has several publications to his credit, authored various articles and presented at local, regional and national conferences.
Dr. Arun Chowla founded the Nova Vein Clinic, a premier Northern Virginia Vein center, and currently practices and sees patients in the Fairfax, Virginia. In the last 18 years Dr. Chowla has successfully performed thousands of operations, focusing on issues related to general and vascular surgery, abdominal surgery, operations on blood vessels, especially veins. His current practice includes treatment for both varicose veins and spider veins, including laser, radiofrequency & Sclerotherapy, providing his patients with solutions to both medically indicated and cosmetic issues.
