Chronic Cough issue: I am a family doc working in las vegas. After reading your hx, you need a workup for chronic cough... High on my differential diagnosis is PND cough, due to chronic allergies. However, there are many other causes. The fact that your cough has not resolved after a Zpak and now your only relief is Codeine (BTW, the best cough med on the market), you need to see your PMD for a CXR, Labs, and a referral to a Lung Specialist. Likely a trial of allergy medications like Xyzal (levocetirizine) or Levocitrizine may be the first step. 3 main causes that need to be r/o'ed: Allergies, Asthma, and GERD. That is about 85% of chronic cough. Post viral cough, ACEI cough, and chronic fungal infection also needs to be r/o'ed. Your first step is to see your PCP for the start of the workup and a trial of allergy medication. Steroids may also help, but I would get a consult first before taking a kenalog "allergy" shot. GERD cough also can be entertained from the hx of "lying down" triggers the cough....

You need a consult: You need a consult with a doctor. I advise you to either pick a Health Tap doctor or get a Plan B kit from the pharmacy in the next 24 hours.

Needs to see ur doc!: Can't tell from hx, but you need to see your primary care doc for a referral to an ob/gyn or an exam. You definitely need a home pregnancy test.

SSRI Weaning....: Coming off SSRI's after 9 years is difficult to do. As you come down on them, you will experience feels of "anxiety" and withdrawal, naturally. I don't know your current dosage, but assuming you are coming down from a high dose of citalopram, (they come in 80, 40, 20, 10 mg), you need to be under the supervision of a doctor while weaning down. Thyroid issues also needs to be addressed.
